There’s something deeply satisfying about seeing a well-considered space that performs with clarity and grace, especially when that space is a bakery as revered as Baker Bleu. Designed by IF Architecture, the Cremorne location captures the spirit of the brand while refining its spatial experience for daily ritual.
With a brief to unify retail, café and bakery into a seamless, sensory encounter, the design leans into restraint, allowing materiality to do the heavy lifting. Our terrazzo product Bloc (now discontinued) was used extensively across the floor and counters, setting a calm and grounded tone against the crisp, functional palette.
Crafted with a soft grey base and quietly expressive aggregate, Bloc brought a textural consistency to the interior - one that anchors the rhythm of the space, without overpowering it. It’s a material that speaks in low tones, allowing the movement of people, loaves and light to animate the interior.
Although Bloc is no longer part of Fibonacci’s core offering, Flannel Flower offers a similar visual language: subtle, balanced, and quietly contemporary. It’s this timeless quality - the ability to support great design without drawing attention to itself - that makes our terrazzo so enduring.
We believe good materials are made better by the hands that work with them. In the case of Baker Bleu Cremorne, IF Architecture has elevated humble material into a space that feels both essential and elevated.
