​​Known for creating earthy and sophisticated spaces with an emphasis on timeless and considered design, Bone Made Interior Design and Styling Studio has grown a devoted following well beyond their Northern Beaches base. With their Bedford Street residential renovation project, they adopted a clear concept, ‘Clean Lined Cottage’, from which they blended the lines between classic and contemporary design to ensure a cohesive fusion of styles. With an emphasis on natural light, soft, neutral colours and refined design details, the end result is a harmonious synthesis of the existing classical elements of the Federation home with calming sophisticated style.

Both master ensuite and the family bathroom are a study in the use of timeless materials, finishes and textures. “We wanted to ensure we paid homage to the existing bones and period details within the property,” says Leah Pitman, Co-Founder and Director of Bone Made. “Terrazzo has such a beautiful, timeless feel about it, and we love that you can inject colour and boldness by utilising this beautiful finish within a space.”

The selection of both Brackish and Flannel Flower highlights the depth found within the Fibonacci offering. “We love how Fibonacci has such a great variety of terrazzo colours, suitable for various styles of homes and spaces. In the family bathroom, which is used primarily by the children, we selected Brackish, whilst we wanted to create a more subtle and sophisticated look and feel within the master ensuite so opted for the Flannel Flower. For both bathrooms, we paired the terrazzo with a simple white Kit Kat tile, bronze fixtures and a timber vanity.”
