In a tertiary institute that trains creatives to hone their visual and aesthetic skills, it’s entirely appropriate that a new interior fit-out should be both practical and beautiful. The dynamic refurbishment of Photography Studies College in South Melbourne by architects McIldowie Partners and Emma Louise Interiors provides flexible, contemporary spaces within a former industrial building.
As we so often see it laid floors, we were thrilled with the choice of Fibonacci’s Hardware terrazzo for the bathroom walls. “It was the tonal colouring and textural definition of the Fibonacci Hardware terrazzo tile that led us to specify this product as the feature wall in the bathrooms,” says Emma Louise. “It’s crisp and contemporary nature perfectly complements the surrounding French wash walls and bronze tapware creating a calm and tranquil environment for the students and staff.”
